A family trip, a visit to this distillery full of promise and talented people. A philosophy that emphasises the terroir and the people, with the aim of making the most of the cane cutters. We were seduced by the talk and the people, and looked forward to tasting the barrels selected by Xavier Piron. The tasting, also in the company of Joris Galli, the owner, was fantastic, with rums that were young but already packed with intensity. One cask in particular caught our attention, as well as that of our friend Chris from the 1802 bar, who was also present: number 62! An egg cream with brown sugar, a sabaillon reminding me of our mother’s preparations. Selected immediately |
